If you prefer to keep your messages short & sweet then try out Twitter. Twitter is a micro blogging service, where you can post brief messages (theres a limit of a 140 characters) to your followers, send photos, send links and you can also follow others, check out UKOLN briefing guides for more details.
I find twitter is a great way to stay up to date, make new connections, share ideas etc

Hello! I was hooked on twitter by the Cambridge 23 Things programme. I’d suggest people do try it out – it’s necessarily like the papers say it is!
There’s a small typo above – the character limit is 140, not 10!
